Who are we looking for?

Qualifications

1. A High School Diploma/GED
3. Knowledge of basic math skills (including but not limited to ratios and arithmetic).
4. Knowledge of basic computer functions and usage.
5. Knowledge of basic machine operation.
6. Skill to operate a variety of machines and equipment including but not limited to the Autowinder, trimmer, and fork trucks.
7. Ability to operate an electrical lift.
8. Ability to visually inspect and mechanically test filters.
9. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot the machinery used in the autowinding process.
10. Ability to operate a variety of hand tools including but not limited to screwdrivers, ratchets, and wrenches.
11. Ability use and interpret measurements from a variety of measuring devices including but not limited to tape measurers.
12. Knowledge of the lock out tag out safety system.


Physical Requirements

1. Ability to push carts loaded with rolled membranes to and from various locations (including but not limited to trimming and fiberglass stations).
2. Ability to pull carts loaded with rolled membranes to and from various locations (including but not limited to trimming and fiberglass stations).
3. Ability to push carts loaded with various types of rolls to the Autowinder machine.
4. Ability to pull carts loaded with various types of rolls to the Autowinder machine.
5. Ability to push filters into the wet test and power soaker machines.
6. Ability to pull filters out of the wet test and power soaker machines.
7. Ability to perform fine motor functions to unfasten/open latches, secure fittings, and actuate buttons.
8. Ability to lift filters onto and from racks during the various stages of production.
9. Ability to lift filters into and out of the trimming and fiberglassing stations.
10. Ability to lift filters onto the packaging table.
11. Ability to climb steps and ladders to access different areas of the Autowinder.

You will work shifts that are 2pm-10pm



What will you be doing?

This position requires employees to perform duties related to the creation of filter products. Employees in this position are required to monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resupply the Autowinding machine. Furthermore, employees in this position are required to test and finish the products that are produced by the Autowinder.

Essential Functions
1. Check the ratio of the glue to verify that it is within specifications.
2. Stage membrane, spacer net, tricot, and other rolls for the Autowinder by opening boxes and transporting the rolls using electrical lifts and carts.
3. Secure membrane, spacer net, tricot, and other parts onto or into the Autowinder machine by inserting the center spindle and using electric lifts and other devices to raise roll into position.
4. Replace new membrane, spacer net, tricot, and other rolls of materials to existing rolls on the Autowinder.
5. Manually remove spliced sheets from the Autowinder machine.
6. Refill and resupply the Autowinder machine with center tubes, chemicals, and other components as the supply diminishes.
7. Build center tubes for the Autowinder rolling section using plastic sleeves and a heat gun.
8. Measure and inspect rolled elements as they come off the Autowinder.
9. Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair the Autowinder machine when it malfunctions, or rolls are produced out of specification.
10. Transfer completed rolls to the trimmer using a hand cart.
11. Trim the ends of the roll using the automatic trimming machine.
12. Remove and dispose of trimmed ends of the roll from the trimmer.
13. Vacuum test the filters to verify they are within specification and apply glue to seal the filters as necessary.
14. Secure anti-telescoping devices onto filters.
15. Transfer the filters to the fiberglassing station using a rolling rack.
16. Retrieve materials necessary for fiberglassing from the storage areas as needed.
17. Apply fiberglass roving and resin onto the filters.
18. Load fiberglassed rolls onto special rotating racks for drying.
19. Secure elements into the bubble test machine to check for air leaks and visual gaps.
20. Repair elements using glue and vacuum system.
21. Transfer elements to and from the wet test stations using a rolling rack.
22. Secure the filters into the wet test machine by opening the caps, sliding the elements into the test station, and securing the caps using hand and power tools (including but not limited to wrenches and electric ratchets).
23. Fill the test tank with water and the appropriate chemicals based upon the specifications.
24. Remove the filters from wet test machine by opening caps, pushing/pulling the elements out of the testing machine, and transferring them onto a rack or cage using hand and power tools (including but not limited to wrenches, push bar, and electric ratchets).
25. Purge water tanks and drain testing housing once testing is complete.
26. Program and set up the parameters for testing on the computer screen on the wet testing machine.
27. Test samples of the water for chemical concentration, pH, and temperature using a specialized test machine.
28. Add chemicals to the water as indicated by the results of the testing to maintain proper chemical concentration.
29. Pressure test failed elements and repair with glue and a vacuum system.
30. Fill bio treatment containers with chemicals.
31. Slide filters into the power soaker machine and set the filters upright by locking them into place.
32. Program and set up the power soaker machine for filter testing.
33. Build shipping boxes for the elements.
34. Insert filters into plastic sleeves, then into boxes with the appropriate packaging materials, kits, and labels.
35. Label and palletize boxes that contain the same filters as specified by the order.
36. Organize and clean the work area by removing trash, sweeping, and returning tools and equipment to the proper location.
37. Assist the Maintenance staff during preventative maintenance days.
38. Perform pass down meeting with incoming shift to discuss issues, present production, and future production.
39. Clean residual and excess glue from the Autowinder machine.
