An American Company is seeking a Automated QA Consultant (Selenium) in Sacramento, CA.

Role Description

• Daily system integration, regression and performance testing SDET tasks, including working directly with the team to identify candidate tests for automation, writing code used in automated testing, and presenting test results and coverage to stakeholders.
• Maintain and extend existing test automation framework(s) to improve efficiency and coverage of test suites.
• Create automated UI tests using Selenium WebDriver for functional testing as well as accessibility testing.
Create MSTest and NUnit tests for system and regression testing.
• Create Load testing behavioral scripts using Locust load testing framework.
• Collaborate with application developers to improve automated testability during product design and development stages.
• Perform peer code reviews for other automated testing developers on team as part of the Git pull request process. Peer and architecture reviews will be required.
• Effective communication style; serve as a collaborative, cooperative and contributing member of the team.
• Agile methodology (approximately 15-day sprints, daily stand up meetings, planning and demo meetings), collaborative environment
• Over the life of the project, the Team may potentially consist of 1 Technical Architect, 3 developers, 1 QA Manager, 3 QA testers, 2 SMEs as well as executive management.

Skills & Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience, including:
• Ability to design and write test automation using Selenium WebDriver, MSTest (NUnit or other unit testing framework can substitute), C#.
• Demonstrated experience working with web application frameworks such as HTTP, JSON, NodeJS, HTML5 & CSS3, and JavaScript
• Working knowledge of .NET, .NET MVC application development including web services and REST API
• Strong foundational understanding of the C# language including Object-Oriented concepts
• Experience working with Git or other version control systems
• Expertise with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Experience with Locust load testing framework and Python
• Understanding of performance testing concepts and experience with load testing tools
• Experience with bug tracking system and test management tools like VSTS, Git
• Experience with testing for accessibility compliance

Top 3 skills: .NET, C# (does not need to code just have worked in environment testing code in C#), Selenium WebDriver or other open source Web UI test automation framework that supports C# .NET and cross-browser testing

Bachelor's degree - preferably in Computer Science or a similar degree, mastery of development skills and demonstrable work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
