RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking an Audit Consultant.Responsibilities:- In this role, the Audit Consultant protects assets by ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and regulations
- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
- Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation
- Completes audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings
- Appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires
- The Audit Consultant maintains internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires, and recommending new policies and procedures
- Communicates audit findings by preparing a final report and discussing findings with auditees
- Complies with federal, state, and local security legal requirements by studying existing and new security legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
- Prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends
- As an Audit Consultant, this role maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and content, and participating in professional societies
REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA is a plus
- Previous audit experience needed
- Candidates qualifying for this position will have similar experience along with the skills and abilities to perform the duties mentioned
- Any relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
