Overview

Summary of Responsibilities:

Manages, plans, programs and personally conducts multimedia support, including still photography, video production, television production, troubleshooting and video-teleconference activities. Manages the integration of text, graphics, video and other multimedia products into mission-related production, print, electronic media or exhibits. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making a range of decisions, escalating to Manager when appropriate and updating Manager on a regular basis.
Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Produces impactful and creative visual imagery that appeals to a variety of audiences across multiple media.
  • Recommends, develops and implements multimedia solutions for Enterprise events, communications, marketing campaigns, conferences and other needs.
    • Creates concept and treatment structure for videos, etc., using computer software packages.
    • Develops multimedia products, integrating text, computer graphics, conventional art, photographs, audio and/or other media.
    • Develops 2D and 3D graphics and graphical interactions using multiple delivery methodologies.
    • Works with internal clients and external professional talents to create, produce and edit scripts.
  • Coordinates and schedules preproduction for video and photography production.
  • Designs and/or creates artwork and graphics for print, electronic products, exhibits or displays.
  • Edits video and audio files.
  • Coordinates and schedules virtual meetings.
  • Maintains video, audio and still files and archives, managing client requests effectively.
  • Operates and maintains multimedia equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Selection Criteria:
  • 8-10 years successful experience in the audiovisual and multimedia field, creative concepting, video production, audio production and recording, and staging. Cites examples.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of digital photography. Provides examples.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement compelling solutions that involve both creative thinking and state-of-the-art technology, and to adapt tone and style depending on the audience. Cites examples of successful solutions.
  • Demonstrated AV/MM project management with the ability to manage multiple teams, outside resources and evolving requirements and deadlines.
  • Proven interpersonal savvy and collaboration skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and partner with others to get things done.
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner. Actively listens, adjusts style to fit the message and the audience, and provides timely and helpful information to others.
  • Proven ability to manage within a budget. Provides examples.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems/situations and use good judgment in decision-making to produce superior results without adding time and expense to the overall project.
  • Proven experience maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when handling stressful and/or time-sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Work Setting:
  • This position works in an office setting and remains continuously in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
  • Ability to lift objects or move objects/equipment up to 40 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel and/or crouch while holding equipment of up to 40 lbs.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in video production or related field or commensurate selection criteria experience.
Computer Skills and Knowledge of Hardware & Software Required:
  • Expert knowledge of Mac operating systems.
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient on Windows operating system.
  • Working knowledge of illustration software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Premier, Final Cut Pro, and Motion Graphics and AfterEffects.
  • Working knowledge of Avid editing software helpful.
  • Working knowledge of audio editing software such as Logic, Adobe Audition and Audacity.
Certifications & Licenses (i.e., Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):
  • None required.
Position Demands:
  • Extended hours with short notice; some weekend work needed during major productions.
  • Overnight, planned travel required during major productions, 3-5 times/year.
