Our client is seeking an ATM Engineer in Raleigh, NC.

Role description

• Perform complex projects and problem resolution-oriented tasks.
• Provide advanced support across the range of his/her discipline, including End User Services as well as other internal user groups.
• Serve as a resource and technical advisor to business users.
• Serve as a mentor to less experienced engineers and assist in providing on the job training opportunities for other personnel.
• Automate and improve processes using scripts and other administrative tools.
• Initiate some new responsibilities and help to plan for the future of his/her system.
• Responsible for resolving problems in all application environments.
• Responsible for assisting Application group to resolve problems in test and developing environments.
• Accept and accomplish tasks given by Endpoint Management Vice President. Install server and desktop-based applications for all application environments.
• Apply operating system and application updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Work with Security group to apply necessary controls to ensure safety of data and procedures for applications.
• Monitor schedule and validity of backup of necessary production data. Attend training relevant to systems and applications.
• Report regularly to Endpoint Management Vice President on tasks accomplished and scheduled by Endpoint Management group.
• Work with other groups to provide disaster recovery procedures for server and desktop-based applications and data.

Skills & Requirements

• IDEALLY The candidate will have ATM Engineering experience working with ATM products such as DIEBOLD or HINGSTON however if they dont have specific ATM experience, they need to have configuration management experience as it relates to software packaging / installs.
• Must of Microsoft Endpoint experience
• Four year degree and 2 years experience OR no degree and 4 years experience in various Information Technology related functions including but not limited to system administration.
• Experienced with most aspects of operating system administration.
• Must be familiar with fundamental concepts of distributed computing environments.
• Needs a strong fundamental understanding of an operating system, specifically Windows Operating Systems.
