Position Summary

This Morrisville, NC based position resides within the Teleflex Vascular and Critical Care business unit's Marketing team in Morrisville, NC. In conjunction with manager, the Associate Global Product Manager (AGPM) will develop, manage, and implement global marketing and product portfolio strategies including market development to support new product development, commercialization, and rationalization. The AGPMs responsibility is to understand current and potential Peripheral Inserted Central Catheter (PICC), Midline Catheter and Vascular Access Navigation/Visualization markets, interpret and extrapolate the customer needs, competitive landscape and market trends in order to create a robust portfolio lifecycle plan to drive and achieve growth expectations for designated product lines within Vascular and Critical Care Business Unit.

The AGPM is to clearly communicate strategic alignment, priority, and facilitate cross-departmental development of new vascular navigation/visualization products through the stage-gate process. AGPM takes an unmet customer need to ideation and then through global commercialization. This role actively partners with the North America Commercial Marketing, Global Marketing counterparts, R&D, Clinical and Medical Affairs and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the execution and implementation of global marketing strategies to exceed growth projections.

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintanence of a robust pipeline for assigned global product portfolio, with the objective of meeting business needs from short-term revenue plans and margin commitments to long-term disruptive innovation to allow for accelerated growth and margin improvement.
• Identify gaps and develop business case to address unmet needs globally (NA, EMEA, APAC, LATAM)
• Establish strong KOL patnerships to ensure robust understanding of customer unmet needs.
• Develop and implement clinical evidence generation strategy in support of solutions. Ensure technologies are published in relevant journals and presented in strategic conferences.
• In collaboration with manager, develop and implement strategic marketing plans to accelerate growth.
• Communicate effectively with NPD Project teams, Global Marketing R&D members and other partners.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of competitive offering and strategies.
• Own portfolio management initiatives, including globalization of portfolio, lifecycle management, operational initiatives to improve cost, quality, product efficiencies and profitability while ensuring adequate VOC.
• Drive idea and concept development process through critical market analysis and insights supported by global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), market research and Voice of the Customer (VOC).
• Establish global registration strategy in conjunction with regional leads and regulatory partners.
• Understand, analyze and prioritize deep customer insights through primary and secondary market research.
• Collaborate with R&D, Clinical Medical Affairs, Project Management Office and other key stakeholders to guide new product development projects from concept to commercialization, including stage-gate process.
• Continually seek out and assess growth opportunities, including possible acquisitions.
• Develop and maintain annual operation plan and budget for assigned portfolio initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate manager.
• Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Education / Experience Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required with areas of preference including marketing, biomedical engineering, business administration or related field.
• One year of previous work experience in a related field is preferred.
• MBA or Graduate degree in a related field is preferred.
• Comfort level in medical/hospital environment, with demonstrated aptitude or prior experience with clinical terminology.

• Understand global medical regulatory landscape & awareness of geographical differences
• Highly developed business acumen
• Demonstrate practical application of successful marketing / business / portfolio management concepts and methodologies, as well as assessment tools, practices and techniques
• Knowledge of measurement and analysis of commercial effectiveness
• Unquestionable ethics and integrity
• Exhibit skills and knowledge in public speaking, human relations, and collaborative leadership
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills with relevant experience developing and accessing complex business models and diverse data sources
• Excellent relationship building and collaborative skills
• Ability to work outside of normal hours as needed for global meetings
• Comfortable in clincial environments (hospitals, patient room settings, operating room, etc.).
