Position Overview: The Associate Facility Systems Specialist partners with more senior Facility System Specialists in expanding knowledge in facility operations along with performing troubleshooting, minor repairs, routine maintenance and ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and systems for PacificSource properties. Requires some knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Facility System Specialist to expand knowledge in Facility System Operations
  • Conducts routine inspection of premises and equipment, including but not limited to building exterior and interior such as roof, gutters, walkways, parking lot, stairways, furniture, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing.
  • Provides Facility Systems Specialist with support for ongoing tasks and quick response efforts to emergent issues.
  • Performs general maintenance duties including but not limited to repairing and installing lighting, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, drop ceiling, hardware, plumbing, HVAC, building control systems.
  • Report critical issues to Facilities leadership immediately
  • Schedules and oversees third-party testing and maintenance, such as backflow, fire suppression and elevators.
  • Works with Facility System Specialist to prepare cost estimates covering anticipated expenses for facility/infrastructure repairs, and reports of all work performed.
  • Actively engages and communicates in a friendly, professional manner in person, over the phone and via e-mail
  • Consistently achieves individual performance goals and contributes to department and organizational objectives.
  • May require occasional work outside normal work hours (early morning, evening, and weekends) to address scheduled and unscheduled facility projects and maintenance.
  • Creates and maintains maintenance logs for work performed in accordance with company standards.

Supporting Responsibilities:
  • Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
  • Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.
  • Travel to other PacificSource locations to perform general maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUCCESS PROFILE

Work Experience: Must have 3 years or more years of maintenance experience, some mechanical and HVAC knowledge.

Education, Certificates, Licenses: High School Diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license is required. Good driving record and insurability is required.

Knowledge:
  • Requires some basic knowledge of all facility aspects; construction and utility aspects including electrical, HVAC, plumbing and blue print reading and interpretation.
  • Solid computer skills and proficient in Microsoft, outlook, and excel
  • Requires general Mechanical/structural Maintenance knowledge with the ability to diagnose malfunctioning equipment as well as the operations of mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Solid judgement and strong attention to detail is important.

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 20% of the time. Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, temperature and noise extremes, vibrations, machinery, hazardous materials, heights, confined spaces, or traffic hazards.

Physical Requirements: Stoop and bend. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions. Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing. Light lifting and carrying of files and business materials. Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English. Communicate clearly and effectively.
