The Associate Director of Drug Delivery Innovation drives the success of multiple teams responsible for design of custom medical devices, adoption of emerging device technologies, and device portfolio strategy. We are looking for someone who can effectively support relationship management for internal and external partners and suppliers in order to assure efficient communication and alignment of projects.
As the Assoc. Dir. of Drug Delivery Innovation, a typical day might include the following:
• Using industry knowledge to build strategies for new drug delivery device innovation
• Building support with senior management for new device initiatives and influencing stakeholders to adopt late stage developments
• Providing support, technical knowledge and expertise to guide early stage device developments to success
• Directing groups of early stage device development managers, engineers, and project leaders
• Establishing and maintaining the drug delivery innovation budget, including forecasting future spend and ensuring planned expenses are incurred within the timeline
• Collaborating with internal & external partners, including Legal and Sourcing, to review and approve applicable contracts such as Master Service Agreements.
• Driving collaborative work with Regeneron's Intellectual Property counsel to manage the Regeneron device and primary container IP portfolio
• Confirming all work activities are conducted in a manner that stays compliant with regulations and industry standards
• Representing IOPS and the Combination Product Development group at industry meetings and forums

To be considered for this role, you must have a BS in Science, Engineering, or a related field along with 10+ years of design, development, and management experience in the medical device/pharmaceutical/biotech industry. A Master's degree or PhD in related fields is preferred. Experience in drug delivery innovation is required.
