Associate Account Manager

The Associate Account Manager is responsible for growing revenue via the sales of LexisNexis Risk Management products and solutions in an assigned Midwest territory. With a focus on the small account market, this person's success is driven by the development of long term, consultative relationships with both existing and new customers; and growing new revenue streams through enhanced customer products and solutions provided by LexisNexis.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain long term, consultative sales relationships with clients in the assigned territory.
  • Develop clear and thorough sales plans for each of the assigned small accounts detailing all relevant information about an account, its industry, and its specific LexisNexis Risk Management history so that you can strategically target your efforts to determine additional product or solutions LexisNexis Risk Management can provide.
  • Act as liaison between sales support and our customers in order to provide superior service and solutions.
  • Through our individualized-employee training and education process, be able to:
    • Demonstrate a clear understanding and ability to use all relevant LexisNexis Risk Management products and solutions to effectively present them to clients on an ad hoc basis, but also to incorporate and use the same in the creation of your account strategies.
    • Understand the value of LexisNexis Risk Management products and pricing as well as competitive offerings and articulate LexisNexis Risk Management benefits in a manner meaningful to a customer.
    • Maintain a current understanding of RISK competitor offerings (i.e., price, product, service, or solution) so that you can effectively sell the advantages of RISK over that offered by its competitors.

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years sales or account management experience focusing on relationship development as a means to drive revenue.
  • Commercial Lines Insurance experience preferred (Sales, Underwriting, Product management, or similar)
  • Strong Customer Service, relationship development and customer satisfaction skills
  • Understanding of professional research process and have the ability to quickly develop an in depth understanding of LexisNexis Risk Management products and solutions and how they apply to the customers' needs.
  • Strong ability to promptly manage and respond to numerous tasks, initiatives and to manage sales campaigns to completion while maintaining attention to the detail.
  • BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience
