Position Information: DescriptionThe Department of Education, Health & Behavior Studies (Counseling Psychology and Community Services) seeks a 9-month Assistant or Associate Professor in the undergraduate Rehabilitation and Human Services Bachelor’s program:  This is a tenure-track position but an offer of tenure may be made based on a candidate’s documented record of achievement and subject to approval from the department, college, University and State Board of Higher Education

The Rehabilitation and Human Services programs are housed with the Counseling and Counseling Psychology programs in the Department of Education, Health, and Behavior Studies (EHBS) in the College of Education and Human Development (EHD) at UND. The Rehabilitation and Human Service programs include Bachelor’s of Science, a minor, and a track in the Master’s of Arts (M.A.) in Counseling (online and on-campus versions of the program available; currently pursuing MPCAC accreditation). The CAEP accredited College of Education and Human Development is in compliance with all Title II requirements, and seeks to serve preservice and in-service teachers, administrators, and other specialized education personnel with intensive integrated programs of study and a commitment to a diverse society.Position Benefits

Duties & ResponsibilitiesThis successful candidates will be responsible for:

Teaching rehabilitation and addictions courses to train students in the management of disability issues in urban and rural communities, including tribal communities;Successful teaching experience in online (asynchronous/synchronous) and in-person undergraduate disability-related courses. Potential for graduate teaching and contribution to the master’s program (within Rehabilitation track). The Candidate must be available to work on campus in-person and online for teaching. Remote work may be considered for the Clinical Assistant Professor position. Summer teaching and service opportunities may also be available with an additional contract;Advising bachelor's, master's and doctoral students; Opportunity for program coordination leadership;Serving on department and college committees as required;

Produce peer-reviewed publications within area of research expertise and seek external grant funds.

Minimum Requirements

Doctoral degree in (Ph.D., Rh.D., or Ed.D) in Disability Studies, Rehabilitation Counseling, Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, Human Services,  or closely related discipline from an accredited institution:Successful completion of criminal history records check.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of experience teaching in in-person and online (asynchronous/synchronous) environments;Demonstrated potential to produce peer-reviewed publications within area of research expertise and potential for obtaining external funding;Demonstrated experience or potential to advise and supervise undergraduate and graduate students;Experience in diversity, social justice, and service provision to underrepresented and/or rural populations;Experience with undergraduate program coordination;Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) or CRC eligible; Licensed Counselor or license eligible in the state of North Dakota.

Minimum Hiring Salary

Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
