SUMMARY

The Assistant Inventory Control Manager is responsible to the Inventory Control Manager and assists in directing and managing the tasks related to inventory management. They are concerned with verifying, tracking, and reporting on inventory.

Providing support to the Finance and Accounting Department as needed and assist the Materials, Maintenance, and QC departments in regard to inventory and financial matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assists the Inventory Control Manager in the duties as follows.

  • Assists in additional tasks as assigned by the Inventory Control Manager.
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory, conducting both physical counts and supervision of personnel on count team. Our inventory is worth over 6 Million Dollars.
  • Update fleet changes as necessary working with the accounting department to ensure accuracy of 100+ GL’s posted transactions by reviewing the General Ledgers’ report and producing various spreadsheets with detailed explanations.
  • Develop monthly departmental expense reports for the QC, Maintenance, and Materials executive team.
  • Notify the accounting department of incorrectly posted transactions and provide them with a list of reclassification entries as needed.
  • Seek approval for processing wire transfer and credit card payment requests.
  • Fact-check invoices sent by vendors and look for the corresponding approvals.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with audits and other financial requests as needed.
  • Scan and file supporting accounting documents.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to Maintenance personnel overtime hours.
  • Liaison between the Finance & Accounting, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Eng. Planning & Materials Departments in regards to financial matters.
  • Support the stockroom personnel in carrying out monthly cycle counts and reconciling all the discrepancies by making the necessary adjustments in the system (PMI).
  • Generate end-of-month inventory reports (Locations, Quantities, and Values) for the Accounting department.
  • Interface with Accounting and Purchasing to reflect accurate inventory pricing.
  • Assist with physical and digital inventory records and count to prepare for and conduct the yearly inventory audit.
  • Generate shelf and tools life expiration reports as well as all prebin and work order reports

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:
  • Bachelor’s Degree. Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Aviation related degree a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and strong in Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to multitask and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and the ability to write correspondence and emails.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high stressed, high-demand environment.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Knowledge of PMI, AirVault/Imagio, and Linux/ACMS systems a plus.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Must have at least two (2) years of aviation inventory management and control experience.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

Physical Demands: Physical Demands: Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Occasional requirement to stand or sit whilst completing all listed tasks. . Often requires movements of the neck in all directions. Intermittent reaching above shoulder height required to access storage areas and pigeon holes, stooping and bending from a standing position when lifting file boxes or collecting documents.

This position may require traveling.
