GDH Consulting is looking for Assembly Technicians to work onsite in Carlsbad, CA. There are 4 shifts available (with two spots open on each shift):

Shift A (10 hour shifts): Mon-Thurs 2:00pm - 12:30am
Shift B (10 hour shifts -overnight): Mon-Thurs 12:00 (midnight) - 10:30am
Shift C (12 hour shifts): Fri, Sat, Sun 10:00am - 10:30pm
Shift D (12 hours shifts -overnight): Fri, Sat, Sun 10:00pm - 10:30am

Job Details
  • Assembly technician processing wafers, PCBA boards, modules test finish product. Perform QA inspections, cleaning and prepping material for customer shipments
  • Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality.
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products. 
  • Build product subassemblies or final assemblies. 
  • Monitor and report back to production engineering when process or equipment needs an adjustment based on Manufacturing work instruction for quality and productivity. 
  • Prepare and assemble materials. 
  • Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. 
  • Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications. 
  • Move all production in webMES in a timely manner. 
  • Performs functions associated with production operations performed in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. Sets up, calibrates, and carries out prventative maintenance tasks on equipment. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct on-line equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization
  • Uses sophisticated programs to track and control components through the production process
  • May coach or train other lower level technicians, to develop teamwork, leadership and technical skills. Works with engineering in conducting tests and experiments.
Minimum Requirements
  • Able to use computers, follow written instructions, and work with sensitive equipment.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years' experience in semiconductor or medical related field
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes, manual dexterity, selective attention, deductive reasoning, critical thinking, typing skills, and using microscopes a plus
Working Conditions: Manufacturing production floor; requires safety awareness and attention to safety protocol. Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends to meet business needs. Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high due to the nature of the product and equipment

Physical Requirements: Job requires standing during length of working shift, regularly lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Specialized Skills Desired: 2-10+ yrs experience
  • Wire bonding; Die to Package, PCBA, Wafer (K-n-S, Icon, Rapid, Palomar)
  • Wafer probing, Tel, Electorglas, Cascade and PWS
  • Pick and Place Automation; DataCon
  • Visual Inspection Systems. Automation Equipment
  • Component/Semi-Conductor Test Handler; Epson, Tesam, Aseco and Icos VI
