Overview:

California's Great America has an opening in its Park Ops Admin Division for a Park Services Area Manager. This position will report to the Manager, Park Operations. Under moderate supervision, the Area Manager oversees the Park Services department, including, but not limited to ensuring cleanliness of the property, hiring and managing support staff, preparing schedules and deployments, operating within budgetary guidelines, and other duties as necessary.

How You'll Make A Difference:

• Assists other areas of the park as needed.
• Ability to write, revise and communicate departmental training manuals.
• Ability to adjust staffing levels to meet business needs.
• Ability to recognize areas that needs cleaning and attention.
• Hire seasonal support staff including seasonal management.
• With oversight, builds operating budget to meet department needs.
• Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

We're Looking For:

• At least 3-5 years of prior leadership/management experience.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
