STARTING SALARY: $56,300 – $86,700 Salary is commensurate with experience.

JOB FAMILY SUMMARY PURPOSE:

Under the general supervision of the Manager - Safety responsible for performing moderate to complex analysis; preparing administrative reports; researching; compiling and analyzing information on Safety and Health; preparing reports for various internal departments and external agencies and provide minimal administrative support.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Data Management, Analytics, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

0 -3 years or more experience required.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Experience in an analyst capacity to include experience preparing reports, performing analysis and project oversight, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Knowledge of analysis, data collection techniques, documentation compiling and retrieval systems.
  3. Knowledge of research methods, statistical applications, analysis of variation; preparation of reports, meeting facilitation and presentations.
  4. Ability to research and prepare written reports, analyze and interpret data.
  5. Ability to operate personal computer and various software applications (Word, Excel, Access), analyze statistical data, perform mathematical computation, develop, organize and prepare statistical reports.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees, and the general public.
  8. Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  1. Oversee Safety Management Reporting Software to ensure current and accurate data and information is being captured, recorded and reported.
  2. Oversee collection and reporting of OSHA recordkeeping including 300, 300A records as required by 29 CFR 1904. Update Injury/Accident/OSHA logs as needed.
  3. Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date key performance indicators, leading indicators, Fleet Safety information, and other similar information and report to Company stakeholders as needed.
  4. Assist Fleet Services in collecting, tracking, trending, analyzing safety specific data collected through telematics and Zonar programs and assist with reporting to appropriate stakeholders’ trends and other information focused on preventing motor vehicle incidents.
  5. Gathers injury and accident data, analyzes the data for trends, correlations, or other similar predictive analytical reporting, and prepares performance summary reports to management on regular basis
  6. Prepares correspondence and reports, memorandums, and other related documents as required.
  7. Assists Safety Dept. management in preparing and submitting annual benchmarking and survey data to BLS, EEI, and others when necessary.
  8. Assists with managing department internal website pages updates.
  9. Assist with various workflows, processing invoices, managing inventory, etc.
  10. Develops and maintains various spreadsheets, charts and graphs and reports identified to support SLT, ELT and Board needs.
  11. Complies with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations.
  12. Contacts internal and external customers on requests for information or documentation as necessary.
  13. Assists and trains employees on department specific preparation of reports, using software and other computer related functions.
  14. Assists with creating and editing monthly newsletter, monthly presentations, special presentations, assists with projects involving outside consultants such as all employee meetings, conferences, etc. as needed.
  15. Complies with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations.
  16. Perform other related tasks that are not included but are within the context of the duties defined.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  1. The incumbents in this classification are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; primary work environment is typical of an office or administrative nature.
  2. May work irregular and non-standard hours.
  3. May require travel to Company work sites.
  4. May require out of town travel.
