Job Purpose/Summary:

The Analyst Customer Planning & Development is a cross-functional role to support focus categories within Distributor Corporate Accounts. This position supports the Customer Planning & Development team on distributor specific projects, providing analytics and insights that are required to drive sales, volume, distribution, and advance customer relationships. The ideal candidate will be a solution provider with a keen focus on delivering on our customer promise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support customer partnership growth management by providing category and market analytics and assist the team in developing insights to drive category growth.
  • Lead the business analysis for performance benchmarks, ensuring data is accurate and organized based on customer/category needs.
  • Leverage and analyze various data sources which include the following: Distributor/Customer databases, Tyson databases, & syndicated data sources.
  • Collaboration with Tyson Director and Senior Managers Customer Planning & Development and Distributor Category Sales Leaders on performance and processes, along with any ad-hoc related requests.
  • Assist in the development of strategic and tactical elements of category plans, business reviews, product presentations, and promotional activity.
  • Perform special projects or assignments as requested by team.
  • Support customer initiatives including promotional activities through scorecard reporting.
  • Support business analysis for performance benchmarks based on customer/category needs.
  • Manage personal Travel & Expense budget.

Requirements:

Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in category management sales and consumer insights; extensive experience with syndicated data.

Computer Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Communication Skills: Highly Skilled in both written and oral communication.

Special Skills: Understanding of basic financials and analytics. Problem-solving and project management skills a plus.

Supervisory: None

Travel: 1-2 times/year
