Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Minimum Qualifications: An MFA or another terminal degree in photography, digital media, or closely related imaging field is required.  Candidate must possess a record of research/teaching expertise and/or professional experience in digital imaging and printing.  Candidate should also possess a documented record of creative achievement in the form of exhibitions and/or publications, and a commitment to professional growth in the field.  Interested applicants must submit the following: teaching philosophy, samples of applicant’s creative work, and samples of student work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: HVCC seeks an individual trained in photography, digital media, and/or a closely related imaging field.  The preferred candidate will have experience teaching both digital and traditional darkroom techniques, be familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom applications, and possess a knowledge of the techniques, tools, and history of photography.  The preferred candidate will also possess an active exhibition record, teaching record and/or professional experience.  Experience and/or desire to engage in distance learning is also preferred.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Provide classroom and online instruction in Photography.
•    Evaluate student performance.
•    At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
The Salary is $1,340.00 per contact hour.
