Founded in 2015, the Master of Arts in Sport Coaching was the first degree in GSPP history to be offered fully online. We have established additional fully online graduate certificates in in sport, strength and conditioning, and fitness coaching. As of fall 2021, we're launching a new undergraduate minor in Kinesiology and Sport Studies, with plans for continued growth in students and degree offerings. The minor is an on-campus program, with the likelihood of offering some courses in summer or inter-term online.

GSPP seeks to educate students to provide culturally competent services and coaching to clients, athletes, and the community. Position Description:

The Sport Coaching program at the Graduate School of Professional Psychology is accepting applications for adjunct faculty instructors to teach a variety of courses in the 2021-2022 academic year.

Essential Functions:

Adjunct faculty are required to complete DU-wide online training, plan and teach courses (some courses are on-campus whereas most will be fully asynchronous online using Zoom), be available to meet with students online or in-person, respond to student questions, assign and grade papers and exams as appropriate, and adhere to all relevant DU policies and procedures, including assessment of educational outcomes and student data.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral or master's degree in Kinesiology, Sport Coaching, Psychology, Sociology or related field
  • Demonstrated current and relevant expertise
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience at the postsecondary level
Course Rate

Adjunct Faculty are compensated at a rate of $1,058 per credit per course.

This posting will serve for multiple openings.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
