The Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology (MAFP) degree incorporates master's level clinical psychology training with coursework and practicum experiences with a concentration on psychology and law. The program ties the application of psychological theory, knowledge, skills and competencies to the civil and criminal justice systems. It is designed to develop mental health professionals who effectively work in clinical settings within the criminal and civil legal system.

GSPP seeks to train students to provide culturally competent services to clients and the community. Position Summary

The MAFP program at the Graduate School of Professional Psychology is accepting applications for adjunct faculty instructors to teach a variety of courses in the 2021-2022 academic year. We are particularly seeking instructors for the following courses:

WINTER QUARTER
CPSY 4081 Overview of Personality & Self-Report Assessment, 2 credit hours

SPRING QUARTER
CPSY 4545Lifespan Development and the Cultural Context, 3 credit hours

Essential Functions

Adjunct faculty are required to complete DU-wide online training, plan and teach courses (some courses are on-campus whereas others may be online using Zoom), be available to meet with students online or in-person, respond to student questions, assign and grade papers and exams as appropriate, and adhere to all relevant DU policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
  • Demonstrated current and relevant expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in a related field.
  • Teaching experience at the graduate level.
Compensation

Adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $1,058 per credit per course. Instructors who are co-teaching a content course that does not involve clinical supervision will split the credits, so each co-teacher receives half of the pay above.

These positions are non-benefited. This posting will serve for multiple openings.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
