We are assisting our client with an interim Accounting Manager search. This is with a Boston based company and although the role will start out fully remote they do need someone local and able to work onsite once offices begin to open back up. Interested candidates must have a Bachelors degree, 2+ years of supervisory experience, a solid understanding of GAAP accounting standards, and prior exposure to working with payroll.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information as well as accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
2. Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure to maximize the facilitation of both current and future reporting requirements.
3. Calculate the monthly deferred revenue ensuring that Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) are being followed in regards to revenue recognition, specifically software revenue recognition.
4. Review and approve all monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts including all cash accounts.
5. Responsible for accurately preparing certain account reconciliations and reviewing them with the Controller.
6. Oversee payroll function.
7. Maintain oversight over fixed assets.
