Accounting Analyst

We are working with a client in the hospitality industry looking to hire an Accounting Analyst to handle their Accounts Payable and Receivable area for an open ended contract! This person will be joining a small team in finance department handling payables, receivables, including expense reports.

Accounts payable duties:

• Timely and accurate invoice processing including obtaining approvals, proper general ledger coding, and maintaining online filing system in an organized manner
• Submit weekly payment proposals for approval, ensuring all items have proper documentation and invoice approvals
• Payment to vendors by check, ACH, wire or file extract for upload into banking platform

• Adhere to and maintain internal control processes surrounding vendor setup, management and invoice processing
• Responsible for monthly Accounts Payable close process and assist with month-end accrual process

• Review and approve all travel and expense transactions in the company's expense system according to the Company's Travel & Expense reimbursement policy
• Assist with employee education on company Travel and Expense policy and efficient use of the T&E system
• Support the accounting team on select balance sheet reconciliations, projects and other responsibilities as needed

Accounts Receivable duties:

• Responsible for daily posting of all cash receipts and application of receipts to appropriate invoices on customer accounts, ensuring all systems are reconciled daily.

• Responsible for assigned accounts by providing support to those customers, resolving questions and providing supporting documentation as needed.
• Provide collection efforts on assigned accounts by sending invoice reminders and follow up communication with customers via phone and email
• Issue invoices and credit memos to customer accounts as needed
• Research unapplied cash and make appropriate adjustments as needed
• Ensure assigned accounts remain within internal aged guidelines and are regularly resolved for any discrepancies or disputes
