LOCATION: Shelbyville, TN (hybrid onsite schedule)

DURATION: Direct Hire (Full Time Employee)

INTERVIEW PROCESS: 2 step interview process

BASE ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $75,000

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is strongly preferred

• 4+ years of relevant experience

• Experience working with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, Accounting, Corporate Finance, SFAS Rules, GAAP

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Accountant 2 position is a mid-level accounting position and can be responsible for various job duties within the department. Typical duties include Balance Sheet preparation, Profit and Loss Statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Position reports organizations finances to managements and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budgets/forecasts. Position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practiced and procedures within the Accounting field. This position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under immediate supervision. The primary job function does not require exercising independent judgments.

Major Responsibilities

• Prepares asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information

• Documents financial transactions by entering account information

• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options

• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, P&L, and other reports

• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents

• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures

• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information

• Maintains financial security by following internal controls

• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations

• Complies with Federal, State and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions

• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks

• Accomplishes the result by performing the duty

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Education/Skills required:

• BS/BA in related discipline and generally 2 - 4 years of experience in a related field

• MS/MA in related discipline and generally 1 - 3 years of experience in a related field

• Goal-oriented that mirrors companies progression/succession planning

• Excellent interpersonal communication.

• Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications

• Have strong analytical, communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs and work independently Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office

• Accounting, Corporate Finance, Reporting Skills, Attention to Detail, Deadline Oriented, Reporting Research Results

• SFAS Rules, GAAP, Time Management, Data Entry Management, General Math Skills.
