The Account Executive is focused on expansion of Ashfield delivered service offerings within an existing client through ensuring exceptional client quality.

Develops and services existing accounts and establishes and maintains preferred vendor status for an account. Studies marketing information to determine additional sales needs. Contacts and makes pre-planned sales presentations to existing accounts. Assists in developing presentation package, pricing structure, and new solutions. Promotes offerings to existing accounts to achieve sales objectives and greater market penetration.

What will you be doing?
  • Become an expert in the client priorities, pipeline, and key personnel
  • Identify and drive execution of strategies to secure new project work
  • Coordinate selling process at the account and ensure that relationships with existing clients are robust and lead to long-term partnerships.
  • Work with Finance to develop comprehensive pricing and lead the negotiation of new contracts
  • Run internal and client-facing QBR processes to understand and address broad business performance
  • Accountable for execution of all projects across services lines and upholding team expectations for quality and performance
  • Maintain the consolidated Ashfield project scorecard, and risk and issue register
  • Liaise between the Services and Operations Experts to define and implement the appropriate team structures to facilitate optimal client execution across the account
  • Manage account risks & act as an escalation point for project issues
  • Foster collaborative environment both within the account across specialist areas
  • Develop and manage an accurate forecast for budgetary purposes at the country/regional level and in alignment with Ashfield's strategic plan
  • Manage SOW's and MSA renewals, including pricing, with procurement
  • Conduct invoicing approval for all project work and client-billable expenses
  • Within an account, ensure that all programs achieve their Revenue & Gross Profit ($ and %) forecast targets and that profits are maximized through the efficient contract execution

What do you need for this position?
  • B.A./B.S. Degree or higher
  • Five or more years outside Sales or Account Management experience with at least three years Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical/Biotech) sales experience.
  • Proven experience utilizing a solutions-selling approach to develop strategic programs
  • Demonstrated repeated success in the ability to take client vision and set the direction, frame the project and deliver results.
  • lasting relationships with senior client buyers
  • Projects an air of confidence when dealing with others and portrays outstanding personal capabilities and talents.
  • Maintaining the customer relationship after the sale is completed, continuously looking to identify new needs and business opportunities.
  • Identifies and adopts the most appropriate style to maximize success in sales situations. Is able to relate to clients or prospects.
  • Listens sympathetically to others and vigilantly observes and interprets peoples' behaviour.
  • Has the ability to quickly adapt to dramatic and continued changes in the workplace or environment or changes in the way things are done.
  • Bringing the business home, managing the customer for timely decisions, dealing with objections, negotiating final price and conditions of sale.
  • Delivering post sales care persistently, relating to the customer and taking all steps necessary to satisfy the customer.
  • Presenting products and/or solutions engagingly and confidently to individuals and customer groups; feeling free of stress and worries.
  • Understanding the customer's needs and producing innovative solutions.
  • Is full of optimism and very resilient, perseveres in the toughest situations, is on the lookout for new opportunities.
  • Has drive and enthusiasm, seems hungry for success, and propels oneself to meet tough targets.
