The electroplater is responsible for the production of electroplated lids. This is a 3rd shift position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sets up plating runs, determining proper barrel size, part loading, and plating parameters to achieve the best overall balance between production efficiency and plating uniformity/quality.
  • Responsible for maintaining the quality of plating, cleaning and rinsing tanks, performing routine testing and adjusting chemistry or replacing bath contents as required for process control.
  • Responsible for the safe and accurate control of precious metal inventory, existing as gold salt solution and as in-process gold plated lids, within the guidelines established by Inventory Control.
  • Maintains plating equipment at its best efficiency and keeps the facility in orderly and clean fashion to assure optimum plating performance.
  • Must maintain logs of mean gold and nickel thicknesses and adjust future run calculations for target thicknesses.
EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Plating/chemical background preferred.
  • Able to work 3rd shift
  • ERT training preferred.
  • Min of 3-6 month previous work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Required to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Basic Computer Skills needed.
