ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Set up CNC Machines- Grab material by following the board and paperwork provided. Find tools needed for set up per tool list provided. Find jaws/ collet need. Bore jaws to size needed to hold material by using Jaw Boring Macro, or manually in some cases. Change sleeve to correct size if running bar job. Touch off tools. Setup up slug program to run multiple parts when needed. Make first part and setup gages needed for inspection per IMS sheet. Run down first slug to make sure math is correct from 1st part to last. Make sure to get first part sign off by QC before handing machine over to operator.
• Diagnose/troubleshoot and make corrections/adjustments.
• Assure product conforms to required specifications by using measuring equipment provided. (Federal gauges, micrometers, drop gauges, calipers, Form trace machine, roundness machine, plug gauges.)
• Need to know how to read blueprints.
• Setup and use our Data Log system at the machines.
• Run production as needed.
• Participate in and implement continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste and streamline processes to increase productivity and quality.
• Ability to train and help new or current employee.
• Willingness to adapt and grow by learning new equipment or changes that might occur with the one we have now.
• Ability to multitask if needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Attendance at work is an essential function of the job.
