As a Vacuum Melt Technician, you are operating induction melter equipment to melt and cast metals into highly-precise parts. Our products enable exciting new technology, including 5G and the next generation of data and memory storage.
The Manufacturing Vacuum Melt Technician Offers:

Opportunities for advancement within many machining opportunities within Materion!
- Set up and operate vacuum induction melters and other manufacturing machinery.
- Prepare materials for vacuum induction melting operation.
- Assist Process Engineering on developing procedures for vacuum melting new materials.
- High School diploma or GED.
- One year of industrial training preferred.
- Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and convert in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, with ability to compute percent.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from approval for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
